Most CVs say what you have done. Almost none say what you can do.

We coach executives and senior leaders across sport and the corporate world on business issues, career paths and personal development.

The most common starting point is Narrative Coaching: a short, structured package that helps you understand your own journey, identify and name the skills and capabilities you’ve acquired, and see where they could take you next.

The output of the sessions is very practical - you leave with a way of describing yourself that holds up online, at interview and in ordinary conversation because it’s built on real evidence not just job titles.

The ususal, chronological account

A list of roles, in order

Organised by employer and date. It asks the reader to work out for themselves what you are capable of (most readers won't!) It also ties you to the sector you happen to have worked in.

The thematic narrative

A case for what you can do

Organised by capability, with evidence attached to each one. It travels between sectors, holds up under questioning, and puts you in your best light.

Who it's for

  • Leaders moving between the sports and corporate worlds
  • Athletes and coaches building a second career
  • Executives preparing for a board or C-suite process
  • Anyone whose CV doesn't describe what you can actually do or is hard to explain

Three sessions, in sequence

Each session builds on the last. Typical session structure is set out below but we’ll tailor it to your exact needs.

Session One

Unpicking the journey

Contracting and goal setting, then a proper look at the career to date: surfacing your skills, capabilities and experience, and identifying the golden threads that run through all of it.

You end withA clear map of what you have actually done, and the themes underneath it.
Session Two

Building the pitch

We turn the first session into a two-minute elevator pitch for presentations, interviews and written introductions, and draw up an evidence-based list of your core capabilities. Your CV, covering letter and LinkedIn are reworked to be thematic rather than chronological.

You end withA pitch you can deliver, and a document set organised around capability.
Session Three

Carving a way forward

We identify where these skills could realistically take you, what further learning would help, and practice where it counts - interviews, presentations, and the communication tools you'll rely on.

You end withA well-rehearsed route forward.

Sessions are one-to-one and run at a pace that suits you. Preparation and follow-up between sessions are included.

The outcomes you leave with

A set of tools, not a set of notes. Everything here is yours to use for different roles and different audiences.

The first three come with every package; the crafted version adds the rest.
