Darren Burgess
Senior Consultant
Darren has spent his career at the forefront of elite sport and, as of October 2025, is the Director of Performance at Juventus FC.
With over 20 years' experience leading high-performance programmes across Australia and Europe, he has worked with some of the world’s most respected clubs and governing bodies – including Liverpool FC, Arsenal FC, Port Adelaide FC, Melbourne FC, Adelaide FC and Football Federation Australia.
Alongside his practical expertise, Darren has built a strong academic foundation. He lectured in Exercise Science at Australian Catholic University in Sydney for nearly a decade and completed a PhD in 2010 on the movement analysis of AFL and soccer. His research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at leading international conferences.
Throughout his career, Darren has specialised in bridging science and performance to drive sustainable success. Today, he continues to shape how high-performance systems are built and led at the highest level of world football.
He works with EPP as a Consultant, bringing hands-on experience, sharp insight and world-class expertise to both our everyday thinking and client work.
